Regional Specialties

The Finnish Lapphund Club of America can host up to 4 Parent Club Specialties a year.

One is designated as the National Specialty for the year and rotates between each region.

A Regional Specialty is held in each region every year. The Regional in the National rotation is reserved to be with the National in that year.

If you are interested in hosting a FLCA Specialty in your region, the FLCA Specialty Processes Workbook reflects the current expectations and guidance for FLCA Specialties. The FLCA Specialty Liaison serves as the check-in person to support the Specialty Committees and help with guidance for a successful specialty.

National Specialty Proposals are accepted up to 3 years in advance and are due by March in the previous year. Regional Specialty Proposals are accepted up to 3 years in advance and are due no later than 6 months before the show. Proposals should be sent to the FLCA Specialty Liaison for review and then will be reviewed by the Board at the next Board Meeting.
